Overview

PPI (Partito Pirata Italiano = Italian Pirate Party)

The PPI was founded in 2006, and is the officially recognized Italian member of the Pirate Parties International. It has not contested any major elections in Italy until now. There exists, however, another Pirate Party in Italy (the one of Marsili).
The symbol is the usual black-on-white sail. Like the German Pirate Party they are using orange as their colour, thus the flags (rarely used, though) are orange with the logo, party name and the slogan (Democrazia-Trasparenza-Diritti Civili = Democracy-Transparency-Civil Rights) [1,2].
